A little over half a century
ago, on Christmas Eve there was a big rumble in Heaven, as one of God’s naughty
little angels found a rip in Heaven’s cloud bank and decided to take a tumble
down to earth.
She learned to live a humble
life on earth being an angel of God as she was. As the year’s passed by she
grew from a mischievous little girl to a beautiful young woman to the most
loving and caring Mom.
Now I know all Moms are
special and I do not argue with it, but mine was extra special and that’s just
the way it is! She would light up the room with her graceful ways, she would
make the loveliest dishes of all, she would stay up all night when we were sick
or in pain and she never had a personal complain. Apart from being our Mom alone
she was an exceptional woman.
Christmas was the best season,
although every day with her was unique. At Christmas the whole family would gather
at our home. Christmas Lunch was super every year.
Come December 2011, and here I
am, stronger in many ways but missing you still. On my Christmas wish list is a
request to God. It is a request for a ticket to Heaven and back. I wish with all
my heart that I could visit you in heaven and spend just one day with you. I
want to see how you spend your days, I want to say that we are doing ok and I
want to ask you if you are proud seeing what we have turned out to be.
